Back in business

YAY! the computer is almost working again, enough to update the blog. The past few weeks have been eventful and not necessarily fun eventful. I put the car in the ditch and took out a farmers wire fence. No major damage to the car but there is now some lovely detailing. I went back the next day to take the photos...too close to that utility pole for my comfort. The only major damage fortunately was to my ego and pocket book(citation and tow charges). The boys took their own vehicle out on the road...sadly we got more snow so it will be in the garage for a couple more weeks. They sure have gottin bigger over the last few months...they are wedged in there pretty good. Family was in town for great gma Lorraine's funeral. Because we received another 7" of snow gma/gpa Jill and Don stayed another day helped me completed the boys new hats! here is Peter modeling his. Jamison decided that he does not need a new one. So I think the girlfriends will be getting new hats!We also got haircuts. The boys were looking pretty shaggy. Now I think they will be good until early summer when I can give them momma style haircuts...buzz cuts.

no fun update

Well, our computer is broken again. Not sure what is wrong with it, it started as a CDrom issue and before you know it...wires are hanging out and Pat is saying bad words.

Hopefully it will get up and running in no time.

IT IS 50°F!

We can not believe it is over 50°F in early February. So with all the melting snow we just had to go and find ourselves some serious mud puddles and I think we did an excellent job.
This one was pretty clean. We were on our way to the post office I asked the boys to refrain until after we dropped off the packages. Once the packages were delivered...free for all!

I caught a couple action photos-Peter right before he hit the water
Jamison in the air!
Can we say muddy mud pile!
Good thing we have those German rainpants. It kept most of the mud and cold water off of them!
That is one satisfied look on a boys face. Pretty proud of how muddy he got!
(sorry for the side movie..I dont know how to turn it)

Wild Wilderness Weekend

This past weekend we met up with the ladies at the Wilderness Lodge in WiDells for our annual winter weekend of waterpark fun! In addition to the insane water parks the the kids enjoyed coloring, dinosaur bingo and a movie. (i did not bring the camera in the water park in fear that the camera would find its way in one of the pools or even worse actually capture a picture of me in a swim suit)
Grown ups enjoyed conversation, beer wine and back to back episodes of "Dirty Jobs" (after the kids went to bed). If you get to see the episode on the goose/duck processing plant, watch it! It is a riot!
I have a feeling that there will be many pictures like this in the future...kids in their jammies...I cant wait to embarrass them when they get older. And yes, they are having lolly pops at 8:30 in the morning. It was after breakfast and a gift from the ladies. They just had to have them! (and for all you dentists ans hygenists...all teeth were brushed after the eating of those suckers)

And you might remember the car trip home last year

Similar exhaustion was achieved after this super fun weekend. Peter was out before we left the parking lot. Jamison did not actually sleep during the car ride...but had this gaze out the window the whole hour home. Thanks Lily Lucy Stacey and Shelby for a fantastic weekend!Back at the house...we spent the afternoon coloring (our new found love! The boys can color for an hour! and for a 4yo, that seems like an eternity). Take a look at Peter's rainbow dinosaur! Everything has been rainbow lately....and when you get the kids those fun fruity smelling markers, be prepared to have significant marker on the face.

And then out side for a little sledding with the neighbors. The snow in melting pretty fast so they had to get a few good rounds in before it is all gone. I am sure more will come..so I am not thinking spring yet.

Productive weekend

This weekend GmaJill and Gpa Don came for a visit. The boys did some shopping, the girls did some shopping...overall very productive. The boys picked out some new hats for next winter but liked them so much they have not taken them off of their heads.
YoYoyo, J&P are in the house!
I also started going through some spring summer clothes to see what is going to fit this summer, and what does not fit gets sold at the MoMs sale. Peter pulled out his favorite shirt of all time and asked if he can wear it one more time. And Jamison is grooving on the christmas color look.
During my shopping time I scored some nice deals on two light fixtures, one for the new downstairs purple bathroom.... one for the upstairs hallway. Since I had some extra laborers here...i roped them into mounting my new cabinet that i got from my dad.

It is FEB! woo hoo!...Spring here we come! (ok we got a little while longer to go but moving in the right direction)
