Baby animals and melting snow

This weekend we went to the A-Z Farms. It is lambing season. We were able to pet lambs, goats, cows, chicks, ducklings, rabbits, pigs and turkeys. Ok, we did not pet the turkeys but they did make lots of fun sounds. We were able to ask the farmers questions...like how old is the baby? (there is a small black lamb in this picture but it is hard to see it.This one was 5 days old! and a lot like Wini, she could not find a comfortable place to take a nap.Peter's favorite animals were the baby ducks...they were super soft. (Peter is the one with the balls on his head, Jamison, of course in red)The goats were cool but a little aggressive, he nibbled on Peter's finger, it must be feeding time. There have been some nice warm days...and with that...we have ice. The boys were out trying to chop it up in hopes that it melts faster. Melting snow...means water and mud! I swear we wash their jackets daily and thank goodness for the awesome German rain pants!

We also went to Matel's Grand Opening! where Bucky the Badger himself was going to be there. Both boys were all excited to see the famous badger...each wore their badger t-shirt. But when they saw him...they froze and hid behind me. Bucky was helpful and was putting more toys on the shelves and entertaining the customers and did not seem to sad that they boys refused to say hi. At one point we even saw him standing on his head...thought it was funny but refused to give him a "high five". I was hoping I would have a picture but no such luck. The trip was not a complete bust, Jamison found "something AMAZING!" (some trains for their GeoTrack train set) and luckily for them they brought their wallets. Everyone was happy, except for me who just wanted a picture with Bucky Badger. Maybe next time!
