Update...we have no update

Sorry for the long hiatus, not much picture taking goin on. Renting a rug doctor and cleaning/organizing the garage are not activies that warrant photo documentation (although that garage is pretty nice, I should take a picture of it so we all know what it should look like)

For the past two weeks the boys have been enrolled in an art camp, or as I am calling it "preschool preparation". I was a little worried the first day when Keiko went to pick them up Peter was in tears saying that he wanted to go home. Both boys refused to participate in the activities and games and told the teacher that they didnt want to eat/drink the snack/juice because they "have snacks at their house". Day three came, there were cookies and they could not resist. Jamison told the teacher that he wanted to make a space shuttle..not sure if he forgot that he told her that or the allure of paper mache pushed him to the point of participating but he came home with a red paper mache bowl! Peter has been very proud of the work that he has done. I think Jamison is going to be my social bee, he has been more interested in following the older kids and listening to everything they say. I think the older kids are into superheros...so now Jamison is a superhero. Today is the last day of camp so we will try to put together an art portfolio and post later.

Birthday part two

Birthday fun continues. Gma and Gpa Van came for our birthday barbeque! This year the boys requested a space shuttle cake (Jamison) and an arial ladder firetruck (Peter)
For some reason we can never get a good red out of the food coloring but it still looked okIt was a little windy and we were having trouble lighting the candles on the cake. Pat did what he knows best...and gets the propane torch out. It worked...and the cake was still edilble. Peter treated himself to a mud bath....ladies pay big money for one of these!

Gma and Gpa Van gave us really cool scooters, we got socket wrench, hex wrench and gloves from our other Gma and Gpa. Uncle Rob and family gave us some cool paint brushes and paper. Thanks everyone!

We all decided that 4 is an awesome age.

Birthday!!! part 1

Earlier this week we received presents from Heike! Super cool tractors...you know when the toys are cool when the boys have to sleep with them and dad says...wow a Lamborghini Tractor! She also sent mom some coffee and chocolate...a perfect combination!
Today the boys turned 4. They have been waiting for this for a long time. Jamison woke up this morning saying "yippee I am four!!" The boys have been asking for a bike with peddles and we found the perfect colored one...because when you are four it is all about the color.

The boys are not too sure how to work them...but I explained that will take practice.

This weekend is also the Mount Horeb Art Fair so we took this opportunity to stock up on all the kettle corn and slushies you can eat...it is the boys birthday...you can have what you want on your birthday. We also took the time to get a couple more troll pictures. This will be 3, 4, 5 and 6. There are 14 in town...so almost 1/2 way there!

Good Bye Reggie- we will miss you

We made the decision to put Reggie to sleep (the kitty on the left). He was very old and lived a very long life. We are all very sad but know that he is in a better place, kitty heaven.

I will look for a better picture later tonight
Sad realization...I dont have any newer pictures of the cats. The good ones were all taken in the day of film....remember that?! I guess it is true, once you have kids the pets get less attention.

Summer fun

We took out the slip N slide this weekend and the boys are getting the hang of it. Sometimes head first, some times feet first. They had a grand ole time! Thanks Uncle Matt and Aunt Kim.

Peter has about 0% body fat...so when he gets cold, the fun is over

We also made a trip to our favorite U-pick farm. Now in season- lettuce greens, peas and peapods. I joked with the farmer that he should have weighed the boys before we started picking, they could have eaten them out of business. But now I look at the picture...that is a ring of mud around Jamison's mouth. I guess he also likes dirt.

We also went to the u-pick raspberry farm. The boys had a hard time picking the raspberries...everything went into their mouths. The season was a little too early...so we did not pick much, but the boys enjoyed the chickens and roosters so the trip was not a total bust.

We DID IT!

We successfully made it to the butterfly stage!. Unfortunately the critters hatched while we were away for the weekend so we did not get to witness them coming out of the chrysalis
But they were all, yes all 4, very excited to see us and be release from the net.
On the count of three....they flew up to the sky. The camera is not dirty...the two spots in the sky are the monarch butterflies.
All that time and anticipation...and now it is over. A little sad but we know that they will make their way to Mexico! or sadly get hit by a car. Lets hope for the best!

Long Long Weekend

We took a very nice long holiday weekend! W/T/F/S/S and went up to the cabin. We did so many things. When asked what they boys favorite part of the weekend....it was seeing the 5 egg laying turtles. We also ate smores, slept in a tent, went on a canoe ride, swam at the beach, went fishing, caught toads and and and and and. The list goes on! The boys would tell you more but their mouths are full of "mush-mallows"
We also went to Rhinelander to explore the Train/CCC museum. We even got to go in the caboose and ring the bell.
Watch out Gpa Don.....a train is coming!

Gma and Gpa new hot tub came....and we helped set it up. We kept the temp down a bit...I would eventually like grandkids some day.
I am thinking the Cullen boys will be on the rowing team for the 2028 Olympic Team! All in all....we had a great mini vacation! Happy 4th of July everyone!
