New Glarus

Like I mentioned in an earlier post...the weather has been amazing! So we went to a state park in NewGlarus. We did not go on a nature walk because I believe bow hunting season is now going on....we did not want to die. Instead we played on the equipment.

Hope the weather stays like this for a few more weeks!!!

Happy Halloween!

Another trip to the zoo!

The weather has been so nice we decided to go to the zoo one last time for the year!

Since there were no elephants at this zoo, Jamison said that the notonopherus (rhino) was his favorite animalAnd this zoo has a great climbing tree house...the boys had a blast! Not many more days like today!

We are ready for Halloween!

We are really ready for Halloween. As you can see Jamison is going to be Pooh and Peter is Tigger. They are very excited! Jamison said that momma should be a heffalump, and dad said that it is not nice to call your mother a heffalump. So then mamma should be piglet. Not much better. Peter wore the costume for about40 hours straight....he was very upset to take it off but we wanted to make sure that it was clean for the big night! Both boys were practicing saying Trick or Treat....and Thank you afterwards. I think we are ready for the big night!

Stewart Park

We went for a hike is Stewart Park...the county park right behind the house. The boys really like going on "adventures"!Peter tells Jamison that they should run down the hill as fast as they can. "We are going to do what?" says Jamison

After the hike, our feet are tired and we take a bit of a rest.

Pumpkin Picking (#2)

I have my pictures from our pumpkin picking event in Green Bay! I have one kid in the eye of the pumpkin....not bad!
And what is more cute that a dad giving his son some eskimo kisses....not much I can think of!

and here is another shot of the hole....again, I do not understand the excitement!

Pumpkin picking

We were in Green Bay for the game and went pumpkin picking with Gma and Gpa Van. The place had tractor rides, hay pile for climbing and fun games. The boys had loads of fun picking out their own pumpkin! Peter is always on the cutting edge of fashion! love the sweater/hat combo and jogging pants. Just wait KT, you will see it in NYC!!
Jamison is in the hole.....dont know why that was so exciting....but he loved it!
Jamison knew exactly where he wanted to go to find his!
Cullen Boys on top of the WORLD! we really tried to get both guys, at the same time, to put their face in there...no luck!
I have not developed film yet (still no camera) so I am using the pics that my dad took!

Thanks!

Devils Lake

This past weekend we went to Devils Lake for a hike and to enjoy the fall colors. We worked on our balancing skills
and learned about trout streams. We even saw some trout swimming around in there!Stopped for a photo with mom

And at the end of the hike took a family photo. Now if you look closely, do you notice something "crazy"? Yes, Peter wanted to dress like dad, orange shirt, tan pants and blue baseball cap. And Jamison wanted to dress like mom, purple shirt and jean shorts. You should have heard the comments on the hiking trail! What a cute family.

Cave of the Mound

I took the boys to the Cave of the Mound and they did really well. It helps when there is a Curious George episode about George going into a cave. Quiz for everyone....is this a stalactite or a stalagmite? (see the answer below)

After spending 1 hour in the dark, the boys were ready for lunch and a nap!(answer- stalactite)

Fall at the Cullen House

Fall at the Cullen house is full of chores. The boys have been pulling their weight buy helping cut the grass. And after all that work they are enjoying a snack on our awesome picnic table...thanks again Gpa Van!

Torrie and the boys

We have had the pleasure to watch Gma and Gpa Cullen's 1 yo black lab named Torrie. She has a lot of enery and we have been trying to give her a lot of excersize. Unfortunatley she is very interested in our 19yo cat, Reggie, and he has not been that interested in her to say the least. We have had to keep Torrie outside as much as possible but with the nice weather I dont think she is complaining. Peter does have a love for dogs! And we seem to not be able to take pictures without those funny faces coming out!

Mt Horeb Fall Festival

Early October means the Mount Horeb Fall Festival, filled with crafts, kettle corn and animals. Here the boys are in front of a momma and baby alpaca. And, can you believe we have been here almost 6 months and we have not taken a picture in front of one of the many trolls that Mount Horeb is known for.

St Paul Childrens Museum

We can never pass the opportunity to take the ladies out on a date. We took them the the Childrens Museum, one of our favorite places in MN. We had to see the Curious George Exhibit! Here is Jamison next to George.
And the whole crew. With as much as the boys love George...this could be a family photo!
And a big hug for the monkey!
And here are the boys with Lucy...Steve and Sharky the dog!
no camera yet....all film. Must sell that house!!!

Settling in

We are settling into the new house and with the help of Gpa Van, we have our little breakfast nook complete. and almost finished painting the living room. Peter has definitely settled in....toys everywhere!
And in the kitchen, we just need some curtains. I have some wonderful helpers when preparing meals!
Sadly, the pink house has not sold. So to head off the comments that the colors are too dark, we went to the house and painted. Anything to sell the house. Please please please sell!
I hope that is light enough!
