Basketball season started at the Primary Center! Peter is very excited and happy for it to be his turn (he has been a little jealous of Jamison and his martial arts). He is on the blue team, also known as the Knicks. On the last day of the program they get to play the parents. He has already started to "talk the talk"! Look at his moves! Watch out Koby...PC is the new up and coming hot shot! (you can also call him "rock". His words, not mine). Pat's company holiday party was the night of the Packer game so it slowing became a Packer Party with TVs in every room. People were encouraged to enter the dessert contest...prizes would be awarded! Pat wanted to do my NewYork Style cheesecake in the shape of a cheesehead! Marbles were used to make the dents, not fingers. The trick was to get the color of a cheese head but not loose the taste of the sour cream topping. So a little experimenting it looked like this. Sadly, he did not win the prize....I dont think people appreciated the "cheese head cheese cake" But it was real tasty. The winner was a cheesecake filled chocoate cup with pecans and carmel. I will admit the chocolate cup was tasty, but I still think our was better. Maybe next year! I guess we have to work more on the presentation.
We reciprocated the boy sleepover with the Moore Family! Caleb, Isaac, Peter and Jamison get along so well! Everyone had a blast. Sledding, pizza making, craft building and movie watching! It was a hit! Pizza making became a pizza eating contest...i think I saw pizza coming out their ears! So much pizza, no one asked for popcorn during the movie! I made the mistake or renting Alpha and Omega, a nice looking film about wolf packs. I did not realize that the gentle "love story" between Kate, the alpa, and Humphrey, the omega, would gross out 4 boys as much as it did!
"ewe, they are going to kiss!!!! That is what nose rubbing is, kissing!! ewe!"
"I am going to have bad dreams tonight!" It was not really a good movie, I would not recommend it, but it was fun for me to listen to the "boy" comments. After 20 minutes of "talking" light were out and boys were fast asleep! Thanks Moore Family for a great weekend!
