This was the after the tree was cut down. Pat was "watching" the boys. He was super tired!
The boys asked if we could take their gym out so they could climb like monkeys! Cutest monkeys I have ever seen!
Peter can not get enough of that jeep! The boys go for drives everynight. Peter insists that he wears driving gloves and goggles when driving. I am not sure what to think.......either he is super safe or I am going to have a race car driver on my hands!

Tree #1
There are a couple of dead trees on the lot and now that Pat has a chainsaw....one is coming down. I called my father to come down to offer a sense of reason, oversee safety and be available to call 9-1-1 if needed. Picture of the tree before-I learned that when the neighbors (men mostly) hear a chainsaw start up...everyone comes to see what is going on! All chipped in to help...that was was fun to see.5 of the six men in front of their "kill". I am sad to say that there was one casualty...a very nicely hidden squirrel nest with a couple babies was discovered a little too late. One squirrel for sure did not make it. Once discovered is was quickly moved to a safe location in hopes that momma and the surviving babies would live a happy life tormenting our dog. The tree after. Now if anyone has suggestions as to how to accelerate the decomposition of a large tree stump, let us know! Not only does Pat get to use his chainsaw, multiple trips with the tractor and wagon was needed to bring the tree to the street. Tractors and chainsaws...Pat is in heaven! I guess I was not surprised that the wood was almost walking off of our property! People driving by were picking it up almost faster than we were able to get it out there! I cant complain! The boys were very hard workers....lifting logs, dragging sticks and spreading wood chips. Pat treated them to a little tractor ride. Notice carefully....they are belted in!
Peter with the safety goggles, you can never be too safe! That's my boy!and of course...a picture of Jamison......saying cheese!

Spring! and Peter's special day
Having a twin brother can be no fun at times. You never have your own special day. So we have decided that April 19 is Peter's special day and Oct 19 is Jamisons's special day. Peter decided that on his day that we will walk to the chocolate store and pick out some candies, and I get to have coffee because it goes good with chocolate. The boy knows what he is talking about!
There is something interesting about this tree. Both boys needed to climb in!And of course the together shot! Not sure what the neighbors think of this.

AND, Mount Horeb is the land of trolls, we even have our own "Trollway". So my goal as a mother is to get a photo of the boys with each of the 14 troll statues in town. This is #2! (see #1 from a post last summer)
Sunday was beautiful here in Mount Horeb. We all got outside and did work around the house. The boys washed their jeep and tractor.

Yes, that is still more snow
Keiko was on vacation so Pat took the boys up north for a change in scenery and quality time with Gma Jill and Gpa Don. And they got 6 more inches of snow. So you would think mid april would green...think again. I even had to take the winter jackets, snow pants, boots and hats back out of storage for the week. Peter had this idea that he could race Torrie, the black lab, down the hill. I think Torrie won!
And Pat tells me that the boys went down face first.(Peter is that little spot 1/2 way up the hill) I am almost glad I was not able to see that!. Me, all alone at home, finished painting the living room and now I am inspired to make curtians. Hopefully I will find the perfect fabric before I loose momentum! I also painted the boys room. Jamison wanted ocean animals and Peter wanted frogs and rainforest animals. SO, what would a mother of twins do....1/2 ocean and 1/2 rainforest. We made a list of all the animals that we would like painted on the wall and I think I am going to have to recruit the help of the talented Keiko to help draw the animals. I might have to bribe her with a gas card or yoga classes. Pictures will be posted when complete!

The carosel was also open for business!! Something that we have been waiting for!! Here the boys are on a zebra and white leopard!
